While a truck-full of South African tourists may have hit the savannah to see the local wildlife for themselves, they found themselves getting very up close and personal with the nation’s flora and fauna, landing nose-to-trunk with an angry elephant attacking their safari vehicle.

In now-viral clips of the incident, a peeved pachyderm can be seen marching straight up to the tour vehicle, wrapping its trunk around the hood and shaking, leaving passengers — and even the Safari guide — in shock.

“Hey! Hey!” the safari leader screamed as the elephant violently rocked their ride.

While at first, these angry interjections seemed to do the trick — the elephant briefly placing them down on the ground — the animal returned, this time seemingly hellbent on turning the tour upside down, literally.
